 ‘Big PhRMA Arcade’ is a tiled poster that critiques the healthcare system in America, specifically the availability of prescription drugs and other medicines. This uses the rhetoric, meiosis, as it understates the situation of healthcare availability. The claw machine represents the medical industry, withholding healthcare service from the outside world. Claw machines look innocent and fun, but the machines are often difficult to operate, making winning almost impossible. The mass of syringes, pill bottles, and stethoscopes sitting in this claw machine, may not be obtained by means of the machine, as wellness for some may also be unobtainable.
